I completed a degree in Sport Management and Administration at Brock University. The program taught me strategies to navigate business, using the business of sport as a reference. The skills I learned include a comprehensive business acumen, team management, and facility operations. I’m prepared to professionally handle any situation. The entrepreneur courses in the curriculum encourage me to explore my ideas and new ways of thinking. The program heightened my decision making, creativity and interpersonal communication. I’ve learned to take calculated risks and when to diplomatically challenge the status quo.

I began my sales career in 1999 as a retail sales associate. I sold fitness equipment and accessories for home use. I later managed my own store, then went on to manage multiple locations. In 2006, I accepted position selling commercial equipment to companies operating fitness facilities. This role took me to Calgary Alberta, where I worked for 10 years. The shift to selling business to business (B2B) from selling to end users, helped my sales approach evolve. I improved my active listening skills and better understand my customers objectives. I realized a satisfaction seeing projects from concept through to implementation, and completion. I’ve become a mature salesperson, manager, problem solver and negotiator.
