I earned a degree in Sport Management and Administration from Brock University, where I developed a strong foundation in business strategy using the sport industry as a practical framework. The program strengthened my business acumen, leadership, and facility operations knowledge, preparing me to navigate complex professional environments with confidence.
Entrepreneurship courses encouraged me to explore ideas and approach challenges with creativity and discipline. These experiences sharpened my decision-making, interpersonal communication, and strategic thinking, while teaching me when to take calculated risks and how to diplomatically challenge the status quo in pursuit of better solutions.
My sales career began in 1999 as a retail sales associate, selling fitness equipment and accessories for home use. Early on, I discovered that the most rewarding part of the job was helping people find solutions that improved their health and everyday lives. As my experience grew, I advanced into store management and later oversaw multiple retail locations, leading teams, managing operations, and driving performance.
In 2006, I transitioned into commercial fitness equipment sales, working with organizations that operate fitness facilities. This shift introduced me to business-to-business (B2B) consulting and solution-based sales, and led me to Calgary, Alberta, where I spent the next decade partnering with developers, health clubs, rehabilitation providers, and community organizations to design and equip high-performing fitness spaces.
Moving from consumer sales to B2B helped refine my approach. I strengthened my active listening skills, learning to understand not only what clients were asking for, but also the operational realities and long-term outcomes they were trying to achieve. What I found most fulfilling was guiding projects from concept through planning, installation, and completion, ensuring that each facility was both functional and built to last.
Building on these experiences, I went on to establish Resolution Fitness, an independent Canadian company dedicated to supplying commercial, adaptive, and inclusive fitness equipment for gyms, condominiums, rehabilitation facilities, and community spaces. As the owner, operator, and technician, I lead every aspect of the business—from consulting and equipment specification to installation, service, and long-term client support.
Growing Resolution Fitness has allowed me to combine entrepreneurship, technical expertise, and relationship-driven sales. I work closely with facility operators and decision-makers to design spaces that prioritize accessibility, durability, and long-term value. By focusing on thoughtful equipment selection and practical facility planning, my goal is to help organizations create fitness environments where people of all abilities can move with confidence.
Over the years, this journey has shaped me into a consultative salesperson, entrepreneur, manager, problem solver, and negotiator who values craftsmanship, integrity, and lasting partnerships. I take pride in helping bring meaningful projects to life and in supporting organizations that are committed to building stronger, healthier communities.
