Melanie is an experienced and versatile fitness professional from the San Francisco Bay Area. She has decades of experience in everything from multiple styles of Yoga, to the ancient Chinese practice of Qigong, to the pure joy of Dance Fitness including Zumba and its variations. Recognizing a love and aptitude for teaching fitness in many formats, and desiring to transition from a full time career in Real Estate, she earned a 200 hour yoga certification with Yogamu, is a certified Group Fitness Instructor with AFAA, and a NASM Senior Fitness Specialist. Loving joyful movement and music from around the world, she is licensed to teach Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, and Aqua Zumba. She has also practiced Qigong since studying abroad in China as a college student, and is certified in 5 Element Qigong. Melanie loves to explore new modalities and continuing education, recently becoming certified in Sound Healing with Life Changing Energies.
Melanie is thrilled to be able to facilitate holistic wellness for the mind and the body with members of her community. She actively teaches multiple styles of yoga including Vinyasa, Yin, Slow Flow, and Pranayama; group fitness classes including mat Pilates and kettlebell circuit; and a unique Qigong class that her students love and can't find anywhere else. She has taught aqua yoga, SUP yoga, and led Sound Healing and Sound Bathing sessions. She also loves teaching Zumba and Zumba Gold to over one hundred dedicated and enthusiast Zumba students weekly. Her students love her welcoming and inclusive spirit, down to earth persona, innovative fitness routines, and her encouraging and easy to follow teaching style.
When she isn't wearing one of her many hats as a Real Estate Broker, Fitness Pro, or Travel Advisor with Fora Travel, she loves to devour a good book, drops everything for a sunset SUP on the Bay, and lives for a good meal. Being able to combine her love of fitness with travel to beautiful resorts around the world is a dream come true. While at home, she tries to keep up with her husband, two dogs, one cat, and four children who are never surprised but always embarrassed when she feels the call to do some yoga or Zumba, whenever and wherever the mood strikes.
