Melanie Snell

Melanie is a lifelong fitness enthusiast from the San Francisco Bay Area with a wide variety of teaching expertise and interest.  She joined her first gym at 14, and discovered a particular love for group fitness and all its variety, especially for dance based formats like Zumba, and for mind body practice including yoga. Thus began a lifelong exploration of multiple styles of yoga, and pure joy of Zumba dance.  With more time to explore her passions as her four children got older, in 2022 she took the leap and followed her passion for fitness and teaching and became a licensed Zumba instructor.  Recognizing a love and aptitude for teaching fitness, and desiring to transition from a full time career in Real Estate, she earned a 200 hour yoga certification with Yogamu, is a certified Group Fitness Instructor with AFAA, and a Senior Fitness Specialist.  She has also practiced Qigong since studying abroad in China as a college student, and is certified in 5 Element Qigong.

Melanie is thrilled to be able to facilitate holistic wellness for the mind and the body with members of her community.  She actively teaches multiple styles of yoga including Vinyasa, Yin, Slow Flow, and Pranayama; group fitness classes including pilates and kettlebell circuit; and a unique Qigong fusion class that her students love and can't find anywhere else. Perhaps the favorite part of her week is teaching Zumba and Zumba Gold to over one hundred dedicated and enthusiast Zumba students weekly. When she's not traveling the world, she resides in the San Francisco Bay area with her husband, two dogs, one cat, and four children who are never surprised but always embarrassed when she starts doing yoga or Zumba whenever and wherever the mood strikes.
