Bev is a lifelong fitness enthusiast from Ontario, Canada. Her group teaching experience began many years ago teaching Aerobics classes. Since then she has added a variety of formats to her repertoire.
In 2019, Bev obtained her Yoga Exercise Specialist certification and began teaching classes at World gym. Her yoga 200 hours training was completed December 2021, including specialties in Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative and Chair Yoga. Bev has her Level 2 Reiki as well as certifications in Meditation and Yoga Nidra. She endeavors to create a calm, relaxed, reflective atmosphere in all of her classes.
Other current certifications include Aqua and Senior Fitness Specialist. Her love of music and dance inspired Bev to become a Zumba instructor. She taught for 10 years and now continues teaching a fun Latino style dance class.
With her conviction to fitness for life, Bev began her own practice, "MOVEforLIFE with Bev", offering Yoga, Zumba and Senior Fit/tone classes at a variety of locations. Currently Bev teaches classes at World Gym, private group classes, as well as the local municipality community centre's 50+ programs.
Bev has previous travel teaching experience in Cuba (Aqua, Zumba, Yoga), Bahamas (Zumba), Dominican (Yoga) and México (Yoga, Meditation, Aqua).
Professionally, she works as an Occupational Therapist, assisting individuals with disabilities who have functional challenges and mobility concerns. Bev's understanding of body mechanics allows her to provide relevant cueing to ensure safety and injury prevention for all participants.
Bev strives to bring her positive energy to all fitness classes and create an environment where everyone feels comfortable regardless of physical ability and fitness level.
