DeEtta lives in the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, where connection, exploration, and transformation naturally unfold. She has been walking her own path of self-discovery through yoga for over three decades.
Each class she teaches is about stepping away from routine, learning something new, (or learning
something old in a new way!) and walking away a little bit taller, with a fresh perspective. DeEtta first stepped onto a yoga mat for fitness. What began as a casual practice grew into a lifelong journey, deepening in 2010 when she was called to explore yoga beyond the poses. Teaching yoga, on and off the mat, became a natural extension of her own practice, as she continues to be—first and always—a student of life. Completing her Yoga Therapy training gave DeEtta practical tools to hold space for others with compassion, and to guide students of all levels.
Her approach is steady, respectful, and down-to-earth. She believes in creating space where people can slow down, be truly present, and connect the dots between the different parts of their lives. Her classes are intentionally slow —an antidote to the rush of everyday life. She teaches in the Vinyasa style, linking movement with breath.
She is an experienced Yoga Teacher registered with Yoga Alliance, and is an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, a Certified Yoga Therapist and a Yoga for Cancer teacher and trainer. She also leads local and international retreats.
