I am formally trained as a civil engineer. For over 20 years, I spent countless hours in meetings and behind computer screen managing a large team of facilities professionals at the University of Toronto and later at the University of Waterloo. I held positions that I loved and that were rewarding, however, over time, I came to realize that casual & random exercise is not sufficient to offset the effects of prolonged stress and hours sitting at a computer.
With a lifelong passion for people, learning, and health, I turned to the study of Yoga and Pilates. This journey led me to begin teaching at my local karate studio, where my classes include a dynamic mix of individuals from young & energetic to older stiff yet determined. I also started my own practice (Quiet Path Yoga) working with friends and family providing gentle guidance and encouragement for daily exercise through regular yoga, stretch and Pilates sessions.
