I joined the Canadian Forces in 1970 and served for 5 years as a bookeeper as a non-commissioned officer. In 1975 I was commissioned as an officer and served for the next 32 years as a Military Police Officer and reached the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. In the latter part of my career I travelled and worked on various committee with NATO in Europe. Throughout my military career I deployed to the Middle-East, Bosnia and Afghanistan.
In the sport arena, throughout my career I participated in various sports competition at the National level championship. In 2003 I started taking various courses with the YMCA in the National Capital in Ottawa to become a personal trainer. I was certified as personal trainer in January 2006. I was also certified as a Yoga instructor in late 2006. As well I am certified as a nutritionist since 2007. I regularly attend workshops in various type of fitness classes keeping abreast of new training techniques. I have been involved in the coaching and development of a competitive hockey teams since 2002. I retired from the Canadian Forces in 2007 and I currently work solely in the fitness environment.
I am a very professional and reliable individual who is helpful with individuals of all ages. I strive to help people improve their quality of life through good nutrition, physical fitness, and good rest. I have travelled in all parts of the world and thoroughly enjoyed meeting different people with different background and learning from their culture. Now that I have more opportunities to travel I intend to continue seeking new places to visit. It would be a dream come through to have the opportunity to do so by providing some of my fitness knowledge to other people.
