Christina Fuhrman

Started cheerleading/ dance at age 5 - 15. Got pregnant at 16 ( weighed 170 lbs) , dreams of cheering squashed. With in months of having my daughter I weighed in at 113 lbs. I knew I had to move and eat healthy. While working /going to community college and taking care of my daughter I knew I was supposed to be working with women to encourage them after they have children. Still feeling a void from my cheerleading years. When I got married in 2005 I quit my job to home school my daughter and finish my business management degree (hoping to start a health club/ ministry) during this time I participated in taking grp. Fitness classes at the YMCA. I instantly knew this was what I could do to fill my cheerleading void. I talked to one of the instructors, she told me to do the darn thing, she recommended afaa. 2007 while hoping to get my cert. I got pregnant and my husbands job transferred us to ky for 3 months then to tx for 3 months then we made the move to Colorado. I had my son and weighed in at 170 lbs again. I knew what I had to do. I joined ladies work out while participating as a member I decided to start teaching a exercise class at my church. Ladies work out heard I was teaching and offered me a job. I then got certified out there through aai and their conferences, then finally got my afaa cert. Having lost the baby weight... Again in 2008 I got pregnant decided not to teach ( too sick) did some sub work when ever I could. 2009 had baby this time weighing in at 150 lbs. I felt like a professional at losing weight. During this time my husbands job moved us to south Carolina. I joined the YMCA... I loved it... Got noticed and started to teach. I kept losing weight like it was all I knew, I had to realize I don't have to loose weight forever . I began working toward overall health. Again realizing what I'm called to do... Help women... Mind ,body and soul. Got zumba licensed so I could start a dance ministry at my church. I am currently keeping busy home schooling my children, I've put the brakes on the ministry because my husbands job has us traveling (I'm clicking away on my iPod in a hotel room...ha... Finding time for this??) I keep one class going at the YMCA to pay for my membership. I stay educated and active and always knowing Iam created to move. I love teaching dance and anything cardio I'm a go girl not much a yo...ga girl. If there is something I don't do or know I will learn. I would love... Love to become a master trainer some day, so to be cont.----zoom---------------------
