I am a teacher at heart and after being a school teacher for quite a few years I decided to become a yoga instructor to be able to share my love for yoga practice. I am passionate about spreading the benefits of yoga as health, healing, and spiritual tool. I try to live a yoga lifestyle and practice yoga philosophy and meditation daily. My classes create a space that values and welcomes everyone and I use an adaptative approach to make it asanas accessible to everyone. I incorporate a short meditative state practice in my teaching. As a student expect a supportive space to connect with your inner wisdom through mindful breathing, gentle movement, strength building, alignment, and balance.
I am also an avid learner of the ayurvedic lifestyle and currently study the sutras philosophy with a group of friends, engaging in a dialogue of critical discussion of practical applications to modern life. I am passionate about social equity and intent to create spaces for making yoga more available and inclusive through stewardship and volunteering. I am currently teaching yoga in Santa Cruz de Miramar, a small fishing town off the coast of Nayarit, Mexico. I would love to continue my yoga teaching path as a traveler yoga teacher through Latin America and I am making myself available to start this journey of self-discovery and service.
