Jodie Joudrey

My name is Jodie Joudrey and I have been practicing yoga for the last 15 years. I am a high school business and yoga teacher and I see first hand how much impact yoga can have on adolescents. Teaching yoga is very rewarding. It allows me to connect with my students on a deeper level by helping them improve their physical, mental and emotional well-being. The benefits of yoga go far beyond the studio. Teaching yoga is a rewarding experience, however, it can also be challenging since we need to be able to connect with our students, adapt to their needs and abilities and create a safe and supportive environment for everyone. Watching students grow and improve in their practice is incredible fulfilling and I am grateful that I have this opportunity.

I enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family. We are all very busy but I feel it is important to make time for things that bring us joy. Spending time with friends and family is essential for our emotional and social well-being. It helps us to feel connected, reduces stress and promotes positive emotions. 

I take pride in leading a healthy lifestyle. In addition to yoga I enjoy running and have complete half-marathons, 10km and 5km races. I also enjoy working out, downhill skiing, biking, softball, golfing and hiking. We are truly fortunate to live near undeveloped land and I try to get out into nature each day with our two dogs to take sometime to reset and be mindful of the beauty that surrounds us and grateful that we are able to experience this. 

I wanted to teach yoga because of the many benefits it offers to the physical body and mind as well as the emphasis on kindness and building healthy relationships. My husband is an entrepreneur and that is very stressful at times. I am grateful that I am able to share my passion for yoga with him. Yoga is not just a way to improve strength and balance. It is a lifestyle that values happiness, compassion, thoughtfulness, self-love and acceptance.
