Valarie Nerone

I grew up being active and loving a variety of sports and training types. I played many years of softball, acquired a a black belt in Taekwondo, competed on different swimming team and ran a variety running races. Being on my high school and community swim teams lead to me to become a life guard, swim instructor, and swim coach for our local team.

Continuing my fitness goals through my college years I frequented the weight lifting room at Purdue University. As I pursued my double major goal, I participated in a variety of running races, biathlons, triathlons, half marathons and a marathon.

Fast forward to my twenties, mid-distance races and weight lifting suited me best after becoming a wife and mother to 3 children. Running, being a favorite way of clear my mind led, Jim, my husband, to train me for the Canton Half Marathon and I did pretty well, coming in 2nd of all women. Jim and I bought new washer/dryer with the money... not very exciting.

As I headed into the adventures of homeschooling my children, running miles decreased. We spent time walking or playing outside. You could find me chasing after them or doing push-ups, chin ups or lunging as they played. I also attended my local gyms 2xs a week to keep myself strong and be challenged by fellow worker-outers.

I’ve learned a lot over the past 30 plus years of living fit, but I wanted to grow in the science of sports and become a personal trainer. In early 2020 I did just that and I love every minute of it. Its been such a joy to learn and serve others.

My personal fitness life includes weight training, kickboxing, hiit classes, and running to clear my mind.
