Emily Steingart

I typically teach Hatha Yoga in the form of Restorative and Yoga Therapy focusing her practice on connecting the mind and body with the breath, adapting her lessons to meet the individual goals. I provide a class that is tailored to your needs whether it be to gain relief from chronic pain, facilitate injury recovery, improve flexibility, reduce stress, improve well-being, ease depression, or simply retain you youthfulness and energy. I provide a warm and safe environment for students. My classes include pranayama (breath work), gentle flow, holding postures until the breath becomes steady, guided imagery, and relaxation. I strongly believe in correct alignment, I make adjustments for each individual allowing Yoga to be comfortable for anyone practicing. I started practicing yoga in the fall of 2004 back in Massachusetts. After facing many life changes and a family tragedy, yoga was the one thing that kept her moving on the right track and kept her hopes up. Since that time she has explored many styles of yoga, mainly practicing a Vinyasa flow. Having a graduate degree in Public Health and Community Development she went to Haiti to share a mindfulness program with women and children who are victims of trauma. Therefore I chose to study Yoga Therapy, in hopes to have a positive impact and share my knowledge. I completed her 200 hour teacher training through Integrative Yoga Therapy at Radiant Wellness in Ponte Vedra, Florida and is certified with Yoga Alliance. I continues to emerge herself in workshops and is eager to learn more.
