Hatha Yoga This is a very active resort, offering many classes throughout the day. Ages vary here from ages 18-75 years old. Many French participants, and “fit” participants who want to to be challenged, and practice Yoga back home. On average, there were 30-35 participants at the 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. classes every day. Yoga in Yoga Palapa. No music except for the ocean breeze/waves

I taught two 45-min yoga class near the ocean in the "Zen Palapa" which was a covered hut. Mats were available for the students. The 8am classes were packed. 20-25 people. There was not enough room for all the students so some had to practice in the grass. The 5pm classes had anywhere between 12-18 students. The majority of the hotel guests were French or Canadian. Some spoke very little English so I had to demo the whole the class so that they could follow. My morning classes were more power based and the evening classes were more restorative. Many of the same folks practiced with me all week long. It was a beautiful setting. Great breeze from the ocean. This is the 2nd Club Med I've visited and they are amazing because it is so fitness minded. My kids took free tennis lessons and did archery everyday. There were lots of healthy food options. Shows and entertainment every night. I look forward to visiting other Club Meds in the future and plan to come back to Club Med Punta Cana.

I taught an all levels Hatha Yoga class sometimes a flow class depending on the ability levels of the participants the time. There were consistently 20 to 30 people in the class. The ages range 35 to 55, with beginners as well as advanced practitioners. About half the class spoke French and the other spoke English, so I did the class consistently with them. The people were friendly and usually the same people were coming to class throughout the week. Mikah from the GO staff was really helpful, when we arrived he met us there and gave me a tour of the property and got us all set up in our room. I felt very comfortable and I truly enjoyed the stay. I will happily go back again.

taught two classes daily, 8 am and 5 pm. Both were very well attended 20-30 students. Once we even ran out of mats! You will teach both classes outdoors under the beautiful palapa. Mats are provided no music, just the noise of the birds and ocean :) This was my 2nd teaching vacation and I would definitely go back! Club Med's are excellent for families- my 4 & 5 year old daughters had a blast at the mini club!

I would have liked to have my classes promoted a little better. They didn't list my name (or Fit Bodies) anywhere on the property or newsletter. They just have the same yoga classes every day with no info about it. At every class I had about 4-5 people who have never taken yoga and then a handful of more advanced yogis. So, I had to make it for "all-levels" and offer modifications. I would say that 95% of the visitors there speak French and some of them speak Spanish and English as well. I don't speak French, but was able to teach just fine. It's best if you do the class with them (vs walking around to talk or adjust people) so they can watch you. The people there were amazing and most came to my classes every day and got to know me. They are super friendly. The staff is very nice and super professional. This is one of the "fittest" resorts I've visited and they take their activities very seriously! Almost everyone participates in the many adult fitness activities and classes during the day. Also, the kids club here is amazing. Most people that are staying at this resort have kids and use the kids club - almost like "camp". If you have kids (any ages) I would highly recommend this place. The food was above average for an all-inclusive. The "village" (as they call it) is very large and spread out - so be prepared to walk a lot! It could take you up to 20 minutes or so to get to the classes depending on where your room is. Overall, I had a great experience and would love to return!

Had a wonderful vacation with my family. Excellent food, fun dancing and relaxing. There was a yoga palapa as well as a fitness palapa & the class signage was not clear to a lot of the participants so there was confusion going to the wrong palapa. Their app was also a bit confusing but could be helpful in some circumstances. The yoga palapa floor was not always clean & food packages & bottles were left just outside the palapa, but director took care of it immediately when brought to his attention. It would be helpful to have the sports director contact information including how they can be reached before arrival.

Club Med is amazing! I will certainly travel there again. I traveled with my family, my husband, a 11 year old daughter and 15 year old son. We felt so welcomed by everyone at Club Med. There was so much to do. We played tennis, went kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, and wind surfing. My kids went to Creactive, the pool and beach. My son played volleyball each day and danced each night! We went to the shows. We are vegetarian/vegan and had no difficulty with finding food options for our diet.

I taught yoga classes each day (Sunday-Friday) at 8 am and 5 pm in a beautiful palapa designated for yoga. It was absolutely beautiful and a perfect place to teach yoga (hard wood floor, plenty of mats). Most of my classes were very well attended 25-30 students. One class we actually ran out of mats and space :). The biggest challenges were the wind off the ocean and language barriers. Most of the students spoke French as their primary language and their English was not great. I had to demo. every pose; do the practice along with them. Words did not cut it for many of them. I had a fantastic experience.

The resort is absolutely beautiful as well as the yoga palapa where you teach classes. Keep in mind most of the guests here speak french and you have to know basic french yoga phrases for class to run smoothly. Everyone was very nice and class attendance was anywhere from 10-30 people. This is a beautiful resort with predominantly European guests who speak french - you need to speak french or atleast incorporate basic french phrases in class in order to make the guests happy. I loved the resort. My family & I had so much fun. FYI bring mosquito repellant (otherwise $24 at the gift shop!)

I taught at 8 am and a 5 pm yoga class. Gentle vinyasa style. Had 20+ each time. Great experience. I spoke French so that helped immensely as 90% of the participants only spoke french. I know this wasn't essential, but they appreciated it.

I taught 8 am and 5 pm Sunday - Friday. My flight leaving the states was cancelled due to the weather so I didn't arrive until Sunday afternoon. They were incredible and very understanding. I had about 20-30 in class everyday and the guests were wonderful, many from Europe.Being able to speak some French and Spanish would be helpful. My French was very rusty and I will brush up on speaking some French (especially yoga lingo) before my next visit. I really loved the staff and guests there - truly amazing experience!! Beautiful property.

8:30 am outside at the calm pool overlooking the water and 5 pm in the fitness studio every day. Classes range from 4-14 people with the morning classes being most popular. Most students were between mid 30's to 60's though I did have a 92 year old every afternoon and a 12 year old one morning who came with her mother. My family and I loved this resort! It was the perfect vacation for a family with two young children. Lots of activities, staff was super friendly, resort was clean and the food was great. The teaching spaces were lovely. I did bring my own portable Bluetooth speaker which came in handy for the morning classes by the pool and river. We cannot wait to go back.

Club Med Punta Cana is absolutely fantastic. I taught two classes a day, 8 am and 5 pm. The classes were full with an attendance of between 10-25 experienced yoga practitioners ready to be challenged. The yoga palapa faces the ocean and clean yoga mats are available. My kids (a 6-year old boy and an 18-month old boy) had a blast. The Kids Club will blow you away. I taught mainly in French and a little bit in English and Spanish. If you speak French, you will definitely have an advantage. I would say that the majority of the clients only speak French. Many of the guests are from Quebec, Canada (my home) and France. I think it is important to be aware of this especially for yoga instructors who rely on clear language to guide students through a safe and challenging practice. The resort is professionally run. All activities start on time and there is very little scheduling mix ups. I have been teaching abroad for years, and I always expect (and experience) a miscommunication of some sort - not here. We had one small problem the first day. Would I return. ABSOLUTELY!!!

I taught two yoga classes each day, one at 8 am and again at 5 pm. I always had between 20-30 people. It was a great group of active people from many countries around the world!

I taught at 8a and 5:30 and classes ranged from 2 - 15. There were a couple fo different schedules posted whichmade it confusing to guests, but after the first day, the guests found their rhythm. I taught a strength focused class in the am for 45 minutes and a meditative practice for 45 minutes in the pm. Some guests would come to both classes.his is an amazing, health and fitness oriented resort, with classes going all day. The guests here are up early, running around the resort, eager to try new fitness formats and less interested in partying all night. even in the pouring rain, people are milling about. The food is fresh, everything is spotless and plenty of helpful staff if I ever had a question. I took my husband and children with me and my daughter cried when we were leaving, Absolutely the best vacation ever!!!

Teaching yoga at Club Med was a dream. The yoga palapa is situated on the grass at the beachfront in a quiet area and it was used purely for yoga. Incredible sunrise spot and you have the sound of the ocean waves for music. For week one I taught at 8am Vinyasa Flow or Power Yoga and 5pm Hatha Yoga and I had an average of 20 people in every class. Many guests came to both classes. The following week we tried yoga at 8am and 9am and once again classes were really busy and some people were staying for the two sessions. It is hurricane season and very quiet on resort (between 300-700) so high season (2000 people) could get even busier. You have about 30 yoga mats and can get more if you need them. This teaching vacation is perfect for a FUN, LIVELY, ACTIVE instructor with or without a family. Partying, dancing, joining in is encouraged and the whole team of staff are simply amazing fun. So many activities I barely had time to rest in the zen (adults only) pool. It is an advantage to you if you are bilingual (most guests here speak French, then English and Spanish were most widely used, and then lots of others too!) I used French and English in my classes which helped teaching a lot. But you will be just fine without a second language too. The GO team and the GM were all really helpful and supportive and I couldn't have asked for more from a teaching vacation.

Gorgeous property. Pink sand beach, activities all day for everyone. Dedicated yoga palapa with a constant breeze on the beach overlooking the kite surfer area. Kids camp starts at 4 months old with 4 different camps age specific. Cirque du Soleil trapeze, bungee, silks, trampoline, not to mention the water sports, golf and tennis. Bring the kids 15 and under with you and teach two yoga classes a day. The food was awesome. They always serve appetizers at cocktail hour and the entertainment was great as well. My room was perfect with a separate toilet area and two sinks in the bathroom. A big sitting area with two couches that closes off to use as a separate room for the kids.
