I traveled the week of Oct 17th. The staff & entertainment teams were amazing! So helpful & encouraging! Customs in Jamaica was a lot longer than usual upon arrival but leaving was a breeze! The resort was wonderful, so many great people that know us & welcomed us back, no problems there.

I traveled the week of Aug 1st, 2020. They were the best hotel staff I have ever experienced! So friendly and welcoming. Club Mobay was definitely worth it!

We met in studio on Tuesday and Thursday both classes. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday we met at dock in the morning to take boat to the Island for AM class and in studio for PM class. The boats man didn’t show up Friday, so at class time I led all yogis into studio and we practiced there. We had 10 participants. It was awesome. There wouldn’t have been space for us all on the island.

Sound system hooked up to device. No bluetooth. Unfortunately, due to wind we were unable to practice yoga on the island so held all classes in the yoga studio. Music was used. The classes were small (2-8) and the ages varied from 20-70. Options were given to accommodate all yogis and varied from gentle flow to more powerful and various levels of holds. We used blocks and straps.

I was a group exercise teacher & I used CD’s. Stereo can be a little temperamental but I figured it out after the first class with the help of an events staff. It was not a problem. Average class was 1-3 participants. Average age was 35-65. I had a mix of men & women. I taught part Aerobic exercise 20 , sculpting 20 mins & they wanted some core exercises plus a stretch. Everyone seemed happy to ‘move’ !

Yoga. The speaker system did NOT function at all. I used my own speaker. I’ve been there numerous times. Their music system always worked in the past. I’m hopeful that they’ll replace prior to my next trip in February We met in studio on Tuesday and Thursday both classes. I taught Spin and Aqua every day Aqua was at 11 in the swim up to the bar pool and it was a BLAST! Sometimes they did arm movements with one hand (because of a drink in the other) but Lots of fun!!! Spin in the morning always had people but evening classes not as many. I would suggest bringing your own sound system.

I taught Aqua Zumba at the Main Pool and Regular Zumba in the Yoga Studio. Classes were very small 2-3 Participants and some days class was not held due to no participants coming to class. The resort was wonderful and everyone was so helpful when I had questions. It was a great experience and I cant wait to do it again!

Most of my classes met in the yoga room except for Wednesday and Fridays we met at the pier to go over to the island for yoga on those days. On the days we went to the island we met a little earlier just so the boats could take us over. Very fun and peaceful! When we got to the island there's a few places with shade to setup for class, the best view EVER!!

We met on the dock to take the boat to the island for class on MWF. One day the boat driver didn't show up so we had it on the dock. We also had class by the Gazebo in the grass on a Thursday because they mistakenly put up on the board that class was at the island but no boat driver on a Thursday so we just had it in a beautiful spot!

I taught a gentle vinyasa flow and yin class. I averaged 10 people for the morning class, and 3-6 people for the afternoon. The age of the participants ranged from 25 years to 65 years. My goal was to make sure everyone walked away feeling nourished. The group ranged from experience to no yoga experience at all, but everyone seemed happy to experience yoga listening to the crashing of the waves. In 29 years of teaching, hands down this has been my favorite experience.

We had a great week at Tower Isle 10/20-10-27 for my first time traveling to teach.. Service and food were great. For future instructors, I left 6 blocks and 7 straps in the yoga room. NOTE: if you are teaching yoga, confirm with water sports management that they have scheduled a 'boat captain' for transportation to the island. Also, validate yoga has been communicated as an activity in the activities packet distributed to incoming guests. The Entertainment staff mentioned that they do not always have a yoga instructor and the classes were only posted on the activity board in the main buffet area. Luckily more interest was generated after I had a class on the pier mid-week. Otherwise, great location and staff.

We had a fantastic time at Couples. The E-Team really went above and beyond making sure we had an awesome teaching and vacation time at the people. Everyone was super awesome and made sure the experience was fabulous. We will return and I already booked my next trip to Mexico - Yay can’t wait for that one. Thanks FitBodies!

This was my first Yoga Teaching exchange. What a great experience! 9 total classes, 5 at 7:30 AM and 4 at 4 PM. Entertainment staff wasn’t sure I’d have students each time, but classes ranged from 2-8 students. Abilities varied, from total beginner to experienced. Plenty of mats, only a couple blocks, no straps. M, W, F am class taught on island. Beautiful resort with great food.

I taught 2 classes Monday-Thursday at 7:30am and 4:00pm, and Friday morning at 7:30am. The morning classes were outside on the island, and the 4:00pm classes in the studio. I taught Pilates at 9am and 5pm Monday to Thursday and Friday was a 9am class only. No classes on Saturday, so that was nice. Had 1 class in the whole week with no shows...every other class had anywhere from 2-6 people. Classes were in a beautiful air conditioned studio with a great view of the ocean! The fitness room had a great stereo system, you could plug into or use one of the many CD's they had available. They had plenty of mats (had people double up for more padding) and had small fitness balls that worked great in the pilates class.

I taught at Couples Tower Isle the week of August 19th. This was my first teaching vacation and it was wonderful. I was ready to book my next one before we even got home from this trip. I taught a 9AM Spin Class M-F and had between 1-4 participants each day, except for one day that nobody showed up. I also taught a 5PM Yoga/Stretch class M-Th (you have Friday afternoon and Saturday off at this resort) and I had 1-5 participants each day. My husband and I had a great time and plan to revisit this resort at some point. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me, alexis.barreista.

Couples Tower Isle was fantastic! Great beach, pools, food, service and super friendly and helpful activities staff. Very nice aerobics/yoga room and fitness room. Loved the laid back atmosphere and how they post your classes on the main board near the patio restaurant. Class attendance is small but enjoyable. Will definitely go back!

The classes were scheduled for 7:30 am and 4:00 pm Monday thru Thursday and Friday at 7:30 am. They were well advertised and attended both in the morning and afternoon on most days. I only had one day with 0 students at 4:00 pm. I was very pleased with the yoga room, which was facing the pool and the ocean. The classes were posted on a board in the Patio food court and Yoga was listed as an activity in the information about the resort. I was also able to use my music playlists on Spotify. A very fun experience!

We LOVED LOVED this resort. The staff members were very kind and we loved the layout of the resort. The island is very fun and the fitness facilities are very professional and well air conditioned! We could not get enough of the private beach, water sports, and of course the beautiful pools.
