The entertainment team and staff didn’t do a lot to promote the classes and did not participate in our classes. That didn’t bother me at all because I felt like I was there to help them. I was responsible to get the mats and towels each day and to put them away.
There were many staff from the resort that were so wonderful to us. I made sure to mention them by name in my reviews on the hotel website as well as TripAdvisor. The time to relax and rejuvenate is a wonderful balance. Instructors need to be flexible and prepared for anything.

We were there in Feb of 2024. The head of entertainment was just switching over. I taught yoga at 8am and pilates at 9am. Both 45 min classes. They liked me to ask attendees for feedback on location and time and we could adjust accordingly. I experience was that this created more confusion because people don't check the app for location before coming. You pick up the mats from the entertainment office in the theatre each day. The gazebo can be windy, but a beautiful space for teaching.
The resort was nice and the staff was great. We liked the Italian and seafood restaurants.
We enjoyed walking into town each day and watching the dolphins, shopping etc. Because it is a gated community it is very safe and you felt that.

I was given all I needed to make my teaching experience a good one. Throughout my stay, they got to know my kids and encouraged them to join in activities they wouldn't have otherwise done. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed not feeling "special", but also taken care of. Like part of the team. Great experience overall. Since it was my first, I didn't know what to expect. I think traveling in a country like Mexico has lots of unknowns and need to be flexible. I think your team did a great job of making sure the process was seamless, which was important to a single mom with three kids. We are already talking about doing it again.

Definitely introduce yourself to the head of the e-team (Luis) when you arrive. He is very nice, works hard and offers help. Also, make a point of finding the entertainment office and locating the mats yourself. The office is in the theater. After walking through the glass doors, look to the right where you'll see brightly painted double doors. Through the door and up the stairs and you will see the mats on a shelf. In the morning...no matter what the e-team tells you, plan to get the mats and take them to the gazebo. I was told someone would deliver the mats each day but the reality is the e-team doesn't get to work until 9:00 or later. They also said someone would pick the mats up when done but I took them back so I'd know where they were the next day.
Also, check the app to make sure class is on it and the location is mentioned. It took a few attempts to get that squared away. Reality is the team has a LOT going on, so it's up to us to make sure the class is represented accurately. The 8am class had very light attendance 1-3 people. The 9am class had from 3- 9 people everyday. I walked around every morning to invite people to class which helped and led to some fun conversations. Also, when I participated in the Zumba class, the instructor introduced me and that brought a couple new people the next day.
It was very windy 2 mornings and I moved the class to the beach. The ocean spray made the gazebo surface wet...plus you could barely stand up LOL!
We paid for the upgrade to Preferred Club. It wasn't available until the 2nd night and what we experienced is the rooms are identical. Only difference is being higher up with a better view. My opinion is it's not worth the extra cost. All you get is access to a slightly more quiet (but still busy) pool area and access to 2 bars with higher quality booze. The wines are the same. It was nice to have lunch and breakfast access to Oceana restaurant, but if you want a break from the buffet during the day, there are several interesting restaurants a short walk away. A few lunches out will cost much less than the upgrade.
We rented a golfcart for 2 hours and it was really fun to see the area. Ask for directions to the little ruin and cenote and the public beach. Such fun. Cannot wait for my next trip.

The entertainment team is wonderful and super helpful. I love that it is a smaller resort and felt super comfortable letting my 10 and 12 year old go to the water slides or get ice cream together. Loved teaching at this resort. The entertainment team is phenomenal. I taught Zumba daily at 11 am and Aqua Zumba every other day at noon. The town of Puerto Aventuras is super close and we took the bike tour offered by the resort to explore. We spent most of our free time at the family pool and at the beach area. Overall, a fantastic first teaching vacation!

entire hotel staff is super professional and helpful and the culinary team went above and beyond to help me with my food allergies My husband an I have been teaching with Fitbodies for over 15 years and we love it every time. I teach Pilates. Class was on the beach or in the gazebo. They have mats. I brought my own Bluetooth speaker. Great food, great staff. A wonderful week!

This resort is so wonderful! Charming, beautiful, and filled with so much to love. The food was delicious, the staff was so friendly and accommodating and I really loved having two classes back-to-back in the morning. This allowed us to have some off site get aways to enjoy the area. The Dolphin encounter was so amazing, the little town outside the hotel was fun to explore.

Lovely E team and all the evening shows and dinners were really incredible. Over all loved my teaching vacation in Dreams Aventuras. Excellent and delicious food. The E team were on top of it - always w smiles and laughter too! I enjoyed ever evening show. I recommend visiting the public beach - I found it a bit more swimmable and to my liking. Yoga is held on the beach and in the gazebo (over the lagoon). Thank you Fit Bodies for the opportunity to share yoga while celebrating birthday and anniversary!

The staff has so nice and friendly. We loved the nightly shows! I am so grateful to do my first teaching vacation and I hope to do many more! Teaching yoga on the beach is the best yoga studio ever! We used towels instead of mats. No music is necessary with nice outdoor sounds by the ocean. The whole luxury vacation was wonderful and ample time to spend with my family. Very cool!

My mom and I enjoyed ourselves thoroughly during the week. Highlights: very friendly and kind entertainment staff, top notch performances in the evening, and ideal teaching schedule (am back to back). Some of the things we weren't crazy about: no "real" beach, noise level was higher than preferred, and at times there were not enough lawn chairs. Also, the food was "ok"...nothing special. Overall, we enjoyed it, but probably won't return to this particular Dreams.

The entertainment team at Dreams Puerto Aventuras was amazing. They are very actively involved with the guests and made me feel very welcome. The entire staff is amazing and very professional. This resort is a family focused resort so many families are not out and about early in the morning. I personally love teaching the 8 and 9 slots, but it may be best to change that a bit in order to have more people attend, even 830 and 930, but that is only my opinion. The early classes leaves space for everyone for the rest of their days. Also, as this resort has quite an active entertainment team, I’m not sure what other times would be best for the yoga. Guests have an amazing variety of activities to choose from. Great family resort! Travel was not an issue at all. The resort had clear sanitization policy that was followed by all guests. Resort staff all wore masks.

I taught yoga @Dreams Aventuras Feb 21-26. Actually didn't start teaching until Tuesday. They wanted me to teach @8 am, but Louis (Eteam director) said if it was quiet, we could move to 9. First 2 days had 2 -3 people. I asked if it could be later and had 6-8. Taught on the beach ~ the sand was hard and sometimes uncomfortable. There were lots of palm trees for shade. I had to recruit people to come to yoga. I brought my daughter and 8 year old grand twins. We all had a great time

Class is under a pretty palapa-roof gazebo and I taught yoga all week! The E-Team is amazing - very helpful with the mats and encouraging other guests to attend class. I loved the leisure time to do nothing or something! Walk over for a coffee, maybe go for lunch, what restaurant for dinner (Mexican is my favorite!)? Lots of time to relax and do whatever. Very supportive staff. Great front desk, where check in was smooth. I would travel and teach here again in a heartbeat!

Fit Bodies Inc is a well organized company that I will use again for my next teaching vacation. I’d like Fit Bodies to stream line the resorts as much as possible in regard to exactly what type of teaching facility they have (I.e. indoor room versus outdoor location), what type of equipment they offer (I.e. just yoga mats or hand weights or resistance bands) and specifically what type of fitness pro they want/need. That would make for a more successful teaching experience for the instructor.

My family and I traveled to this resort in August 2019. It is much different from other Dreams resorts - smaller but still clean and hands down the BEST entertainment team of anywhere I taught! Rooms were clean and the village of Puerto Aventuras was fun - so nice to leave the hotel by foot and walk around! Taught Mat Pilates at 9am and 10am in the Gazebo (other than 2 days when it was just too windy and the waves were crashing over - we moved to the beach!)....the hotel schedule didn't advertise my 9am class so it had low to no attendance (I only taught it twice), and my 10am ranged from 2-12 people - with an Entertainment Team member typically taking the class! Typical food at the Dreams resorts - only 1x family pool and 1x adult pool. The family pool got CROWDED and the hotel worked so hard with the seaweed but it was tough and on days there were offshore storms, unswimmable. TONS of other great activities for the whole family I've never seen at other AM Resorts - on-site ziplining, cooking classes, bike tours, etc. Would recommend but if you've been to another AM Resort, just temper your expectations in terms of amenities and grounds!

I had a wonderful time teaching at Dreams PA. I taught at 9a and 10am (both yoga) in the beautiful gazebo on the ocean. Fun to get an occasional wave splash mid yoga! I had between 5-8 participants daily. The E-Team was excellent. I went to Aqua Aerobics with them and they would introduce me and promote the morning yoga classes to everyone at aqua. Smaller resort but plenty of entertainment and activities! Dolphinarium on-site for the kiddos! Exploring Puerto Adventuras was fun and a short walk.

This is a very nice, if small resort. Classes are at 9:00 and 10:00 and my class size was from 0 to 12. The location is great on a gazebo, but they only have 10 mats (all but one of which are ready for the recycle bin), no blocks, no straps. Where is that gift fund money when you need it? The only other downside is it can be windy, so I grabbed rocks from the beach and anchored the mats.
The entertainment staff was easy to work with, although the marketing of the classes was a little light - come prepared to do your own marketing.
The resort is nice - very good food and an adult pool. The only downside is there is not much of a beach. I would definitely return here.

Unfortunately it rained the majority of the time I was there but we made it work. After reading all the reviews I'm a little disappointed that I was required to teach 2 classes a day, yoga at 10am and Zumba at 4. I guess that's because I was certified to do both and their Zumba was always at 4pm. Had I only been there to teach yoga I suppose I would have been in the morning. In 6 days I taught in 4 different locations due to weather and event but the entertainment staff was wonderful! On top of the rain the seaweed was awful (also not the resorts fault) we never even got in the ocean :( the resort itself is nice and the staff is wonderful the vacation Gods were just not smiling down at us that week.

This was one of the most relaxing teaching vacations I've been on. I taught 2 classes, 30-40 minutes each and was done by 11 AM each morning and could enjoy the rest of the day with my family. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

I taught yoga at Dreams Puerto Aventuras the week of November 12, 2017, and overall had a lovely experience. I traveled with my husband and our 10-yr-old son. This was my 2nd teaching vacation and I chose this resort because my family loves water activities and it did not disappoint. I had taught at Dreams Tulum two years ago and loved that experience so we decided to go with a Dreams resort again and this one has not only a beautiful sandy beach, but also the salt water pool for snorkeling, the dolphins next door, and the scuba dive center right on site! Perfect for families with kids.
My experience teaching at this Dreams resort was very similar to teaching at Dreams Tulum. I was asked to teach two 40-minute yoga classes each morning, at 9am and 10am, as I had at the other Dreams. I knew from previous experience and from reviews here that classes go best if you can be proactive and independent as far as setting up and promoting them. The E Team contact listed on my materials was not there when I arrived but they connected me with Berenice, who was wonderful. She showed me where the mats were kept and said classes should be in the gazebo unless it’s too windy, in which case they should be moved to the beach in front of it, or inside to the theater in case of rain. Thankfully, the weather cooperated and I was able to teach all of my classes in the gazebo, which is by far the most beautiful location I’ve EVER taught yoga!! I’m not sure why the Sundial listings changed each day and were often wrong (it only correctly listed the times and location of my classes on 3 random days), and I did have some new Saturday students complain, saying they would have come all week if they’d known about it. I was able to recruit some folks by walking around the beach and telling them about the classes every morning. My advice would be: as long as you are willing to be cheerfully flexible and independent and roll with potential changes and glitches in the schedule, you will have a great time. My students ranged from beginners who ended up excited to start practicing back home to regular practitioners who came every day and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to do “real yoga” on vacation. My 1st classes had 1-3 students but by Saturday I had built this up to 12. The only big difference between teaching here vs Tulum was that this time almost everyone was Canadian or American and wanted instruction in English so I was able to teach more or less the way I teach outdoor classes at home. Vs in Tulum, I had also had students from Germany, France, other parts of Mexico, etc, so I was teaching classes more slowly and in kind of “Spanglish” there and also using more Sanskrit because my French students didn’t speak Spanish or English but they were seasoned yogis and familiar with Sanskrit pose names. At Puerto Aventuras I just checked in with each student on arrival re experience level, class intensity they were looking for, and any injuries they may have and then adjusted my sequences accordingly (Berenice had no preference on class content).
Things to note about the resort: As others have said here, the one downside is it can be loud and is absolutely worth the cost of a room upgrade to be on a higher floor if this matters to you. We were upgraded to a gorgeous 6th floor ocean view room on our return (the hotel was oversold the day we arrived so they bumped us for one night to, of all places, Dreams Tulum! We found this hilarious because I'd read it would be to Now if we were bumped and it was fun and nostalgic to be back there.). Having the PADI dive center on site was amazing and my family did the Discover Scuba Diving experience with a dive in the ocean that was incredible!! My son had such an amazing time here that it more than made up for how loud the resort is (for us, at least, but if you’re not traveling with children, not planning to dive, or don’t want a party-type atmosphere, you may not enjoy it as much as a larger Dreams location where the activities are spread out away from the sleeping rooms). For my family, this was a nearly perfect vacation and we would definitely go back in the future. I'm grateful to Fit Bodies for the fantastic opportunity. Definitely a good idea to bring $200 in ones and fives to tip the wonderful and hard-working resort staff. :-)

It is a great, small resort. Many of the patrons had been there before, including patrons without children. It has a VERY SMALL beach. There was a LOT of seaweed each morning that they raked up each day. The electric Sundial did NOT jive with the class listings on the App. I blame this for the 2 classes that had no attendance. I also don't quite understand why I needed to bring expensive tennis balls when they don't have a tennis court. The Entertainment staff work very hard, as they have at every resort we been.
