Staff was very friendly and helpful showing where I should teach and explaining the setup. I expected them to be a bit more involved with advertising my morning class or getting people to join it. It was my first teaching vacation and I loved it so much! I really enjoyed meeting new people and teaching classes. Resort was amazing - clean rooms, food options were great, gorgeous clean beach and plenty of entertainment. Transfer from the airport was done so well with everyone arriving on time and guiding us where to go. Definitely will do it again!

I love Cozumel & have been to this resort several times, I have to say however, that I agree with other instructors that say this resort is tired and needs some work. Aside from that, some really nice guests came to the 9:00 am yoga class on the beach, which was so nice! The room: we upgraded to Preferred and had a nice room with a partial ocean view but had problems several times with our A/C leaking onto the bathroom floor, or not working at all. The A/C in one of the restaurants also wasn't working for a few days that week (Bordeaux). All in all, we enjoy going to Cozumel & I love teaching yoga on the beach at Secrets Aura!

I will definitely do this again but choose a different resort that is more wellness supported. I really enjoyed this teaching vacation and glad I finally did it!

Thank you so much for letting me join your team for a week! I truly enjoyed my time and would love to return in the future! I taught Beach Tabata at 9am Monday through Saturday. I literally taught in the sand so we used towels as mats. I had 2-3 people most days, but a couple days with no one. The participants wanted a low key workout between 30-45 minutes. This was my first teaching trip and it was such a fun experience. I met so many great people and word of mouth was how I got people to come to my class. The resort is older but food was great. My husband and I enjoyed walking the beach and just relaxing with no kids.

e team was easy to work with. Well managed and organized and everything went smoothly as planned. Yoga on the beach, amazing. No music needed. We used towels instead of mats on the beach.

Beautiful location with lots of beach for walking & clear ocean water for swimming/snorkeling on property. Fun excursions & beautiful sunsets. Lots of rooftop and outdoor dining. I loved teaching on the beach at Secrets Aura Cozumel.

The staff was wonderful and worked hard. Entertainment team was not always there at the start of class. Not an issue if you are a flexible instructor who can easily adjust your class. One day I just did a standing flow until the staff got there and helped with towels. Everything was great. Small issue with guests taking the first round of towels put out. Sun scape (next door) let us borrow their towels for yoga. Only 4 mats. Class may have been larger than they normally experienced. The class liked the towels better on the sand. All was good!

E Team was great! Posted and announced my classes and brought the towels daily. This resort in general was not up to the standards that we’ve experienced elsewhere. Both the property and the food were very disappointing. On the plus side, the E Team promoted my classes heavily and I had great attendance all week. My students were fun and appreciative. I’m thrilled that 2 of my male newbie yogis were inspired to continue their practice when they returned home and are accountability buddies!

This was my 3rd teaching trip and it did not disappoint! I chose Secrets Aura Cozumel to celebrate my 10 year wedding anniversary and it was the perfect choice. I taught one 30 minute Zumba class a day, starting at 10:30 am. This left plenty of time for my husband and I to sleep in and enjoy activities on the island, like scuba diving, in the afternoon. Looking forward to booking the next one and making it a girl’s trip with my best friend.

I love working with Fit Bodies and this trip was no exception. Class was on the beach or in the gym. A great place to be and loved teaching yoga. E-Team was very supportive and it's great to feel like a team member.

Yoga on the beach!! Have your sunglasses and hat ready - and definitely sunscreen!! Wonderful - I love teaching on vacation. The E-Team and I announce my classes and invite guests to join. I used my bluetooth speaker for music. Everyone was super nice and everything was perfect!

Everyone was super friendly and seemed truly happy to have a yoga teacher on site. I loved the resort and Cozumel. Some guests weren't happy with the food, but it was fine. The resort is a little older, but we had access to Sea Scape and the brand-new Dreams. Gustavo, the manager, was happy to have a pro on site. They haven't had anyone for 3 months. I put pictures on Teach on the Beach and hope more pros get to Cozumel. One class in the morning gave us plenty of time to scuba, see the island, and relax. We will return. Most of the entertainment staff is off on Sunday, so got together with them on Monday am

Taught zumba by the pool at Secrets and around the lobby at Sunscape. Everything was very organized and professional. The E-Team is very kind and supportive of the classes and help to encourage participation with me.

I taught Yoga and Zumba on the Beach. I used my own small speaker and the speaker at the resort with an audio cable (for Zumba). My classes were promoted with Fit Bodies, Inc. flyer, My social media, Printed activities schedule, I walked around and invited guests to join, The Entertainment team walked around and invited guests to join. My favorites: The time to relax and rejuvenate, Spending quality time with my companion/family, The beach.

My husband and I visited this resort October 20, 2019. We pretty much exclusively choose Secrets resorts, and have stayed at 7 in Mexico and in Montego Bay. Aura is a little older than many, but is well maintained. Rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy and the staff is so great. Everyone is eager to help and to please. The entertainment team is led by Adrian, and everyone on the team is amazing. Gilberto, who runs the gym at Sunscapes was so welcoming and helpful. He was always there to adjust the temp in the room and to offer assistance and support. They genuinely seemed appreciative of FitBodies and to have a yoga instructor. The only reason I didn't rate this resort 5 star is because the food in the restaurants and room service didn't quite measure up to what we have experienced at other Secrets. That said, the food was for the most part good, and plentiful and the beauty of the beach and the water more than make up for any disappointment we may have had with food. If you are a snorkel lover, a diver or even just prefer the beach to the pool.........this resort doesn't disappoint.

I taught an 8 am vinyasa flow yoga class in the gym. Participants were all ages, from children to people in their 60s. I had between one and 11 students each day. I also taught two evenings at 5pm for the entertainment team only.

Spent a week teaching yoga @ 9:am daily. I had 4 people 1st day and a consistent 9-12 everyday after that with a core of 6-8. The yoga/Pilates was cozy with 12. Several people did not speak English which made it fun. I brought my own music and speaker and would recommend you do the same. I also brought a couple of straps and wish I had brought more or some old ties that I could have left behind as everyone used them. I arrived 30 minutes early to sweep the room, set up and wipe down mats and get into my teacher head space. There are 12 blocks. When class was over I told people to leave everything where it was and I put it all away for them. I cannot agree with any of the negative comments on TA about the resort. I had a 2nd floor room. 4424. When I arrived it had that tropical musty smell that all tropical places have when it rains. The smell evaporated as the grounds dried. Staff were fantastic. I was travelling alone and thoroughly enjoyed the option of solitude or taking part in a busy party pool. I felt completely safe. I do tip everyone for everything so this may have made the difference in my service experience. To put it into context I tip $1 US for a drink and will give $3 for breakfast/lunch. $5 for dinner and always leave $5 on my pillow with a request for extra coffee, real milk left in the fridge for my morning coffee and extra water. I spent a total of $200 US and that included my transportation to and from the airport. I would return in a heartbeat.

I was given the option of teaching two classes a day at 8am,9am and 5pm. I choose to teach at 8am and 9am. I taught a general group fitness class with lots of variations. There was no class on the first day (Monday), as I was not on the schedule. For whatever reason, the entertainment team were not aware they had an instructor coming, and had scheduled yoga classes for the Monday schedule. We got it all figured out and I taught classes Tuesday through Saturday. I had 2 to 3 individuals per class (there were two 8am classes that no one attended). The Thursday 9am class included the entertainment staff (10 participants in total) and I spent time after the class demonstrating a variety of program options for the staff to use in their classes when there was no visiting instructor in place. The classes were taught in the yoga studio (though there was problems with the piped in music from the spa that they could not turn off). There were mats, but very little other types of equipment. I used my own music and wireless speaker and recommend visiting instructors do the same. The entertainment staff were a hard working and terrific group of people. I joined them in the aquatics class in the pool when they asked me to join them and help them drum up support for the class. If I could do anything for this group, I would buy them fitness bands for their fitness classes.I loved being here at Secrets Aura Cozumel, and the only reason I am not going back to this resort next year, is because I have set up three weeks of teaching in Jamaica in 2018.

3 days I taught 9 am and 5 pm classes. The 9 am class was between 3-6 people and the 5 pm just one person. The next 2 days were just 9 am class and the last day was 9 am and 5 pm with no one at the 5pm class.he entertainment team at the resort treated me very special, it was fun at events throughout the week where they introduced "Yoga Teri" and encouraged others to take the classes. The schedule at 5 pm I don't think works for the vacationers who are in the middle of there day. Also you teach inside the gym not outside on the beach or by the pool. The gym is nice, they have mats and blocks to use. They appreciated the flyer I bought and had it posted in 2 locations.

I taught one class on Tuesday-Saturday at 9 AM in their fitness center. When I arrived on Sunday, Adrian said he didn't know what time I would arrive and didn't want to promote a class until the teacher arrived. (There is a number of things that can go wrong getting to Cozumel from Cancun.) So he said he wanted me to start on Tuesday and only wanted me to teach at one, instead of both adjoining resorts. I averaged 5-6 students per class, some days were more a couple days were less. The yoga room was perfect.
