The staff was great. My classes were not advertised as well as they have been at other resorts. The resort was very clean. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Beaches were beautiful. Lots of activities and shopping outside of the resort.

I taught yoga on the beach - gorgeous setting. Spotify worked on my phone and used Bluetooth speaker. Friendly team, very chill and casual. Really responsive and helpful. Not a lot of promotion for my classes but I walked around and introduced myself to guests throughout the week. It was a really nice vacation!

I taught the first day on a stage/entertainment area that was okay. I had 5 people in the first class. Then, everyday after that we were in a hut type of space overlooking the ocean. It was perfect. I had 4-5 everyday with 8 on the last day! They were disappointed I was leaving. The teaching time of 9 am each day was perfect. The participants were grateful and fun!Overall, I had a great experience. I will definitely do this again. We loved our resort, it was small and pretty quiet. I enjoyed that I had one class each morning and easily fell into a routine. There were no big surprises. Participants were pleased, complimentary and many came back day after day. It was truly a rewarding experience!

I loved the resort and this area of Mexico! Very pleasantly suprised. Only one yoga class in the morning. The staff was so friendly. Went as a young couple and enjoyed the tasty Mexican food, cheap but quality massages on the beach, refreshing dips in the pacific and of course the sunsets! Perfect week, great place to just chill! I hope to return someday.

Sunscape Ixtapa was a pleasant surprise!!! I chose to teach at this resort kind of randomly - my kids actually chose (teens). The resort was quaint, and smaller than most I've visited, which really was nice. The food was excellent, the service was great and both the pool and beach were just right! Teaching here was fun too...there was a lot of interest and the entertainment team was very organized. I taught Yoga on most days (basic flow) and even boot camp on the beach, just one class a day. Highly recommend it and will definitely return!

It was a beautiful experience! I loved teaching and I loved the hotel staff and the ladies who participated in the classes. It was off-season for this resort and I ran into no other Americans, which was fine. I am bilingual and met many fun and interesting families from all over Mexico. They only scheduled me for one class each day at 9 AM. This is probably because it is the hottest season of the year. My classes for small because, as the staff told me , "Latins don't get upearly when they're on vacation." On Friday we had a great master class on the beach with others Zumba instructors. It was a blast! It was a beautiful resort with a great pool, wonderful food, delightful staff , And deluxe accommodations! Zumba classes were held on a wooden platform and it worked out well for the small classes. I don't think it would be completely safe to have large groups on that small platform as there are no railings.

This trip was a fun adventure! There was a little confusion upon arrival about who I was, but once that was sorted out, things went well. Entertainment Staff was great! I joined in lots of activities, so that I could meet people, which was really helpful. I'd encourage anyone doing this to make sure you meet people and invite them to your classes! The staff let me pick out my own schedule, which was great. I'd likely not schedule to teach in the afternoon... Most people had one too many drinks by the pool at that point???? Because I am a GFI, I would explore trying to offer a variety of classes besides just Zumba next time. This resort would be awesome for kids. Something fun offered to them all day and night. If I go again, I'd bring my 10 & 5 year old.

Spent 1/18-1/25 at this resort. The entertainment staff are very nice and all the staff were friendly. Due to the guests at this resort and the limited equipment, this resort would probably prefer a Zumba, Yoga, or aqua fitness instructor rather than a group fitness instructor. If you are an aqua fitness person, it will be hard to beat Carlos' water fitness class! They have a small "hotel-sized" fitness center with a couple treadmills and elliptical machines, 3 yoga mats and one fitness ball. They weren't interested in my offering any kind of cardio or conditioning based classes like listed on the resort information posted here. I taught a 9am stretching class on the beach and they yoga mats and towels to put on top of the mats. Class on the first day had 6, then with a little recruiting the rest had 12-18. When asking the guests if they preferred 45 minutes or an hour, they all wanted 45 minutes. I taught using combination of toning, balance, and stretching with some relaxation at the end which they all seems to like. Anytime I did "toning", I gave them modifications for an optional stretch. Guests at this time were mostly English speaking however there were a few Spanish speaking guests that I recruited and they help me learn how to count in Spanish backwards. The food was good, I felt safe at the resort as well as in the airport and riding the bus. One of the highlights of the trip was the Massage huts on the beach south of the resort. For $15 you can get an incredible full body massage. I went almost everyday. The staff made my guest and I feel very welcome. We had numerous invitations from a variety of staff members to join them in activities outside of the resort. We got to meet their families and see areas that we would not have seen otherwise.

I just returned from a yoga teaching vacation at Sunscape Dorado Pacifica. Awesome...awesome...awesome. The entertainment staff (Carlos, Alex, Blanca and all the others) were so much fun, and so friendly and helpful. Food was great. Beautiful resort. I would definitely go there again. This was my very first teaching vacation, and I going to start looking into where I will travel next. So much fun and so relaxing!!!

There were both pros and cons to this experience. PROS- SOME staff members were extremely attentive, welcoming, and helpful. They made me feel welcome. While others, even some on the entertainment staff, did not communicate much with more, nor made me feel that I was a part of the community, or even happy to be there teaching for their members. Another con would be, that my schedule seemed to change every single day, which was very disheartening and difficult for me to even make any other plans or experience anything outside of the hotel. I wanted to make everyone happy, so I sacrificed enjoying the trip, because my teaching schedule wasn't set from day to day. If I knew that it wasn't going to be the same every single day, I may have considered something else. Lastly, and the most shocking, is that they pulled me off the schedule, and I found this out through their flyer and not through someone coming to me professionally and explaining why. Especially after receiving such great feedback from the members. So, overall the experience has been very confusing and poor communication, however, I choose to focus on the few positives and the few individuals who have made my time here welcoming and memorable. Now, I think I can understand why one staff member stated that they don't receive too many instructors often. I rated a little higher on here than I wanted to, only because I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Even with how some of them have treated me, I want to focus on the good. I am humble and grateful for the experience.

We just returned from a lovely week at Sunscape Xtapa. This was my first experience teaching with Fit Bodies and I am very grateful for such a great time. Juan and the entertainment staff were so easy going. I only had to teach once daily at 9:00 a.m. Sometimes we were in the garden, sometimes on the beach. I had a mixture of absolute yoga beginners and those with some experience. Lots of lovely folks from B.C. and Canada area. We found the room (all have a great view) to be lovely--just a bit on the small size, but very cozy. We have stayed at other Dreams/Secrets resorts and this is part of the that same chain. It was a smaller resort than the others we've stayed out, but we were fine with that. We were happy with the food and service and the beach was awesome. This time of year we (husband and 2 kiddos, ages 7 and 4) had no problem finding a chair poolside or on the beach under a palapa. The water was rough, but we got in the ocean most days. We felt very safe walking the beach. Lots of locals there vacationing as well. We were extremely pleased with the Explorer Kids Club and our kids really loved being there. They especially liked rock wall climbing and bungee trampoline. Orely and the gals super great with them. We will DEFINITELY return again next year!!

The resort was FABULOUS! The service and staff were the best. The room was clean and comfortable. I could not have asked for better service. Teaching was intense because both classes, 9:30am Cardio and 12 noon Aqua (taught on the pool deck), were taught outside in 95+ heat. But the staff, once again, helped and did everything possible to insure everyone had fun. I would recommend this destination to everyone.
