I travel to Turks and Caicos Club Med from January 18-25,2020
The fitness room has a speaker for my Ipod or phone
I teach 8:30 am yoga in the fitness room and 5 pm yoga outside on the restaurant patio facing sunset
I teach Vinyasa yoga. The 8:30 am class was always full about 8-12 people ,30-60 age. I was surprised of the big big number of participants for 5pm class, about 20, and the age range from 25 -65, they did not want gentle yoga how I plan:), the wanted more power yoga. Since it was multilevel class I gave modifications and challenged more advanced students. A Lot of people come to this resort every year and they said that my class was pure Yoga compare to other instructors before. They love it.We even stay after class with some students for chanting!

We need your input! There are many resorts and many positions. Communication with the guest instructor on certain program-related items is very helpful. If there is a concern NEEDING a reply, email Suzelle directly. She takes pride in a teaching vacation program working efficiently for everyone. Thank you. Enjoy sharing your passion in paradise, often!

Amazing place to teach.
you are nicely welcome from the moment you step out of the airplane. The transfer bus takes you to the reception. I was greeted at the main reception instead of the aquamarine reception. It did not take long before they sent me to the right area. I stayed a aguamarina in a beautiful family room which seem to be recently refurbished as everything was top mark. I had a nice terrace a few steps away from the beach. The food was amazing!, Taco arte was lovely, and all the staff were brilliant. I played tennis, my family took pat of other activities like water skiing and snorkelling which is all included. Take your own yoga mat as the ones they have are pilates mats quite well used i must say. They will give you a cable to connect your phone to the sound system. Classes are super busy! You will enjoy it. It's such an amazing experience. I taught variety of styles. I all depends what they feel like, play by ear.

Awesome time at club Med! I definitely recommend the sailing & trapeze too. Super fun!! The room we stayed in appeared very dated (ie:scuffed furniture, rusty vent, upholstery needed redone) but the bed was comfy & that’s really about all we used the room for. Employees are great, shows are fun, & food is amazing! The spa was great too & don’t forget to mention you’re the yoga teacher as they give you 30% off spa treatments! Requested cleaner out by the infinity pool for the morning class but never received any... The yoga mats were very used & smelled a bit funky outside so I grabbed the cleaner from the cardio center every morn to spray them down pre/post yoga flows. Also brought several mats from cardio center out to the outdoor location as those classes were always busier & we ran out of mats a few times. Great time, super family oriented even for babies!!! Hope to return again soon!

i teached with passion different yoga styles : hatha yoga, kundalini yoga, yin yoga, eye yoga, thai massage yoga and laugh yoga !!! and I think people have appreciated this variety allowing them to learn something new durig their holidays even if they were regular yogis

I just returned from teaching here and had a great time. Classes were at 8am and 6pm and I varied from 4-20 students. The heat was a big issue - especially at the 6pm class. The classes are not held near the ocean - but rather the bay/estuary and there is limited breeze and their fans sometimes don't work. Many complained of the heat and the sun made it worse. They do have towels and water, but I'd recommend bringing a yoga mat towel since you will sweat a ton. I also wished the class had been earlier that 6pm because I have 2 small kids and by the time I showered and changed after class it was almost too late to eat with my family for dinner. So, I usually brought my clothes with me and tried to freshen up in the nearby bathroom rather than wasting 10-15 min (each way) to get back to my room. The resort is beautiful and great for all age kids. The only restaurant with A/C is the steakhouse - and most other areas do not have a/c either, so pack lightly! My kids didn't do the kids club - but it's really amazing and you can take advantage of the activities even if they aren't enrolled. The resort is very large but they offer "buggies" (aka golf cart shuttle). They have connections for your phone so you can play music via their speaker but you will need to bring your own attachments (it's . Club Med guests are very fit and most speak French with some English and/or Spanish. You will get at least 1-2 completely new beginners at each class as well as a few that are very advanced - so be sure to offer options and modifications. Overall, it was a great resort and I would go back - just probably not in August due to the heat.

My classes were 8 am 6 PM
7 - 25 participants
Ages from approximately 16 - 75
Had a mix a experienced yogis and first timers
Our room was amazing. My sons had their own twin beds in their own bedroom with 1/2 bath. Sleeping arrangements with a family of four and teenage children was a concern of mine and our accommodations were beyond our expectations.

Club Med Cancun had a beautiful covered yoga space overlooking the lagoon. I taught a more vigorous vinyasa style class each morning at 8:00 AM, and then a slower flow yoga class at 6 PM. Class numbers ranged from 4-22, depending on the day and time.
They did encourage us to use
music from our own device. They had a cord we could use.

Classes were yoga, in an outside space, 8 am and 6 pm, 8 to 20 participants, many coming to every class. There was a stereo system that needed a specific cord to access. It was provided by the resort. There were also yoga mats, small towels, and water available. It was definitely a family resort. Many activities for all ages. The primary language used was French, then English. The resort activities staff were great, and worked very hard.

2 yoga classes. One at 8 am and one at 6 pm. Between 4-12 students in each class. My morning class was more a power & flow and my afternoon class was more a chill gentle yoga. The only issue (and not an issue) is that Club Med is very french speaking. Most of the participants did not speak English (it was Quebec and France winter break week) and because so many other classes were offered in french that impacted class size. I was able to use some of my high school french to get through but teaching was a challenge that I just figured out as I went. I had many of my yogis ask me if i could teach in full french (which I couldn't). This resort would be perfect for a bilingual instructor. This was my first teaching vacation and it was an amazing experience. From the moment I booked with Fit Bodies to my last day of my teaching vacation, everything was seamless. The booking process, arrival transportation, meeting my sports contact when I arrived at the resort-no issues. We had a great week and have already booked for December 2018!

Classes occurred at 8am and 6pm. Class participation numbers ranged from 8-20 students usually. Ages, experiences of yoga and mobility also ranged from beginners to some intermediate. I recommend offering lots of modifications and levels of difficulty to accommodate the range. Sometimes families would attend with their children all the way up to seniors. Most persons were between the ages of 25-55. There were a lot of persons from France and Quebec (French speaking Canada), thus it was beneficial that I also speak French and could offer bilingual classes. The Club Med Staff provided very positive feedback that I was the first Yoga Pro they have hosted that could also speak French. Sending Yoga Pros to this location that can speak English, French and Spanish would be beneficial. Students like a more vigorous class in the morning (Vinyasa) and more of a relaxing (Hatha) class in the evening. The resort also encouraged that the Yoga Pro incorporate music and this should be communicated in advanced. Wifi is available, so I used my Spotify account to create Yoga music playlists. The Yoga deck is a beautiful space to teach in as it overlooks the lagoon. The other Fitness GOs at the Club Med are very welcoming, helpful, supportive and encouraging. It was wonderful to be part of the Club Med Cancun Yucatan community for a week as both the GOs and guests were absolutely lovely. It's a gorgeous, updated resort with a beautiful beach, many activities to try, delicious food and a quiet family atmosphere.Overall, it was a wonderful first Yoga teaching vacation experience at this Club Med and my partner and I would absolutely return to this resort. We will also book future Yoga teaching vacations with Fit Bodies, Inc. as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a very smooth trip with great service both from Fit Bodies Inc. and Club Med Cancun Yucatan.

I taught 2 Yoga classes 8am and 6pm I had anywhere from 16-20 participants for each class. This resort knows what they are doing! The communication with their guests is spot on... They also know how to get a party started, I felt like I was at an summer camp. I traveled with my 3 month old and 3 year old and they had everything I could need at the resort and in my room at check in! The only advice I would give is learn a few French words as most guest are French but they did all speak English.
